Huddersfield Choral Society performs a powerful new work, ‘We’ll Sing’. The project was commissioned to remember those we have lost to COVID-19 and provide hope for choral singers around the country. The lyrics were written by Poet Laureate Simon Armitage, with music by composers Cheryl Frances-Hoad and Daniel Kidane. Did you know? There is a plaque on a building in Spring Street where our Society held its first quarterly meeting on 15th July 1836! It tells us that day members sang Haydn's 'The Creation'.
